HEKTAŞ; It was established in Adana in 1956 for the production and marketing of medicines for human use, with the combined savings of chemists, pharmacists and agricultural engineers, most of whom were doctors. Under the conditions of the day it was founded, it decided to focus on the production and marketing of pesticides, which is its main field of activity, due to the high market shares of domestic and foreign large companies in the human pharmaceutical sector, and in this context, it established the first production facility in Istanbul Cevizli.
Within today; automotive, cement, mining, energy, chemicals, finance, and 90 close companies operating in the service sector, with approximately 30 thousand employees, OYAK is one of Turkey\'s largest industrial group, became a HEKTAŞ\'s partners in 1963 and% in 1981 It became the largest shareholder with 53.8 shares. After OYAK\'s partnership, HEKTAŞ went public in 1981, and in 1986 its stocks began to be traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
As a result of HEKTAŞ\'s position as a leader in its sector over the years, the factory in Cevizli could not meet the needs, therefore, in 1991, a modern facility with high capacity was completed in Gebze Organized Industrial Zone.
HEKTAŞ established animal health in 2005 and plant nutrition and seed departments in 2017 with the strength it gained from its brand awareness, industry leadership, and widespread sales and distribution network, which it gained as a result of its work in the agricultural sector for many years.
In the product portfolio of our company, there are more than 250 plant protection and plant nutrition products suitable for the ecological structure and product range of our country, as well as nearly 30 animal health medicines and feed additives. In this way, it is a leading company with the widest product range in the pesticides sector. Marketing and sales activities of our company\'s products are provided by regional directorates in 6 provinces.
While our company develops its current product range, it offers products that are respectful to people, the environment and nature and suitable for sustainable agricultural practices in line with the needs and expectations of the producers. Formulation development studies are of great importance within the scope of research and development activities in order to add innovative drugs to the product portfolio.
