About
Machinery and Chemical Industry Institution, which is a State Economic Enterprise within the scope of the Decree Law No. 233 on State Economic Enterprises dated 08/06/1984; Within the framework of development plans and annual programs, in the field of manufacturing industry, all kinds of weapons, ammunition, explosives, machinery, equipment and material production capacities, taking into account the principles of profitability and efficiency, in order to produce and market in a planning and economic way according to defense and civil defense needs has been established and its fields of activity are shown below:
Manufacture or make, modify and repair all kinds of weapons, ammunition and explosive materials and the like, and tools and equipment, machinery and systems for military needs,
To manufacture or have machinery, materials, installations, motorized and non-motorized vehicles and equipment, tools and their spares and the like, to modify and repair them,
Cooperating or participating in domestic and foreign organizations when necessary, carrying out projects, consultancy works, establishing facilities related to their fields of activity and producing the energy needed by their enterprises in relation to the above activities and the like,
To make license, technical skill (know-how) and similar agreements,
To carry out research and development studies in the fields of activity,
Establishing all kinds of new establishments and partnerships related to the field of activity of the organization and joining established ones or liquidating existing institutions, partnerships and affiliates,
Collecting, evaluating and using all kinds of mines, materials, tools and equipment that are scrapped by official departments and administrations, economic state enterprises, institutions and affiliated partnerships, organizations and organizations entering into international bilateral agreements,
Importing and supplying all kinds of commodities and materials required for manufacturing and sales,
Engaging in trade, exporting and importing for export purposes,
When necessary, to open an office at home and abroad, to establish agency, chief dealership, dealership, to establish an internal insurance fund and to act as an insurance agency,
Carrying out other activities related to its activity subjects.
The Institution, whose headquarters is in Ankara, besides this task defined in its main status, has also assigned itself to increase the domestic contribution in our country\'s Defense Industry and to produce new products for the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces.
MKE Institution, which continues its activities in line with these goals; By leading many sectors such as iron-steel, chemistry and machinery manufacturing, it has created an EKOL in the development of our country\'s industry and has played a LOCOMOTIVE role in our industry.
In this context;
It produced the world\'s highest quality barrel steel and barrels in the 1940s.
Again in the 1950s, it produced the first aircraft and exported it.
Rolled railway in Turkey, rice production with the iron-steel products was launched for the first time in our organization.
Machine tools, agricultural control tools, textile machinery, steel drawn pipes, battery gear and gear box, bandage and monoblock facilities, electricity meters etc. The productions were first carried out at the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation.
