Roman was opened by Turgut Toplusoy in 1980. First He was interested in construction sector then he saw the improving opportunity in the textile industry.
Especially Coats were catched customer\'s interest so he opened second store in Suadiye in 1984.
In the 90s free economy played role in the market and foreign investors entered the Turkish market, so competition started. thats why Roman find out new brand which is called \'Gipsy\'.
In 2003 Suzan Toplusoy became coordinator of design.
In 2005 ROMAN moved to corparate office in Çekmeköy.
After 2006, Roman entered in retailing.
In 2010, Roman made production by using organic materials as a social responsibility and the collection was named \"Organik by Roman\".
Today It has 44 stores in Turkey, 19 stores in other countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Cyprus, Russia, Bahrain.
Roman provides 1050 people employement.
