About
RTA Laboratories were established in 1996 by Veterinary Microbiology Specialist Reşat Ultav, Veterinary Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctor Tayyip Türkaslan and Veterinary Animal Nutrition Doctor Ali Taş in Istanbul / Kadıköy. He started his R&D life in 2001 by supporting a TUBITAK project. In 2002, it moved to its own building in Gebze Plastikçiler Organized Industrial Zone. In the same year, he established an R&D laboratory suitable for molecular biology-genetics, immunology-serology-based studies. In 2004, it established laboratories and clean areas for the R&D and production of medical and industrial biotechnology products. RTA Laboratories offered 34% of its shares to the public in 2014 as a biotechnology company. In the same year, SACEM A.Ş., which carries out marketing activities in the field of life sciences, acquired 53% of its shares.
RTA Laboratories, which established a mechatronics workshop in Eskişehir to develop and produce biomedical equipment in 2017, was awarded an R&D Center certificate by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in February 2017. RTA maintains close ties with the scientific community, universities and research organizations on their subject. Owned by the founders of RTA Laboratories, Novakim A.Ş. operates in the pharmaceutical industry for animal health.
R&D
RTA Laboratories has an R&D department with a wide vision, open to innovation and development, with its laboratory designed in accordance with the latest technological developments in the field of molecular biotechnology and its specialized staff.
The R&D department aims to support the production at every stage, expand the product range and respond to the needs of its customers with the work it does. RTA Laboratories contribute to science and industry by collaborating with universities and research institutions in line with this goal.
RTA Laboratories aims to develop products specifically for the Medical and Industrial Biotechnology fields. R&D activities include the development and production of molecular diagnostic kits, industrial products and biomedical equipment.
R & D expenditure in terms of Turkey\'s first 250 companies among the RTA Laboratories, share on 6% allocated to revenue from R & D was awarded the prize in its category, biotechnology in Turkey\'s first turn with a company that title.
