Birlik Baharat firm has been operating in Izmir since 1991. Birlik Baharat firm, which has been working on Raw Coffee bean and Spice varieties since the first year of its establishment, procured and wholesale these products from the domestic market until 1996.
In 1996, taking into account the increasing demands in the market and its market share, it started import studies on Raw Coffee bean and Spice varieties. As a result of the increasing import volume, it made the necessary investments and put into operation the storage and shipping facility with a closed area of 5250 m2 in Kemalpaşa location. Until 2005, it continued to work on the products it procured from the domestic market with the imported raw coffee beans and spices.
When it comes to the 2005 harvest carried out in Turkey cumin, anise, bay, blue poppy, white poppy seeds, thyme, such as agricultural products, has started its export activities. In this way, Birlik Baharat added its exporter identity to its importer identity and started to make its name sound more firmly in international markets. In line with the increasing demand, it opened its new facilities with 3600 m2 closed area in Torbalı location. Thanks to this facility, it is possible to closely monitor the processing and export of agricultural products such as cumin, anise, laurel, blue poppy, white poppy, thyme from the farmer.
Thanks to this identity and the trust in the company in international markets, the company has been forced to do transit trade. It has also become a seller of raw coffee beans and spice varieties of which it is currently a buyer. Nowadays, transit trade activities continue at an increasing rate every day.
In 2012, starting in raw coffee Turkey related to the core considering new current account began to import local raw coffee beans, next to Brazil Rio Minas raw coffee beans, harvested in other countries has added to the raw coffee beans. It has increased its product range and stock amount day by day.
As of 2016, it has been increasing its market share day by day in agricultural products such as cumin, anise, laurel, blue poppy, white poppy, thyme, and raw coffee beans and spice varieties it exports.
Birlik Spice currently works with more than 40 types of raw coffee beans from different regions and countries and Rio Minas raw coffee beans, which are mainly used in Turkish coffee, supplied from 6 different exporters, with a 90 percent stock guarantee and a minimum of 600 tons of continuous stock.
