About
From our founder
I was born in 15/05/1953 in Karaman - Ayrancı.
My childhood passed in Konya-Ereğli. I went to primary school in Sümer Primary School and secondary school in Ereğli High School. We came to Istanbul with my family in 1967. I finished high school in Mecidiyeköy High School and graduated from ITU-MMF Machinery department in 1974. Until this time, I have worked in many different jobs during the summer. My first insured job was the Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceutical factory, where I worked as a worker in 1969. What I have seen, experienced and learned here has been my guide in my future business life.
By the way, I got married in the last year of university.
My first job as a mechanical engineer is Balıkesir Cement factory. I had to go to the military after 5 months after my general manager informed me that he would not approve of my job, which I started in 1974. (The situation I have to explain is because I oppose irregularities.) I would also like to express my gratitude to my general manager years later. Otherwise I wouldn\'t be able to come to these days.
After my military service, I continued as an operating engineer in İmbat Makina Sanayi. In the military, we took my first child, Tolga, into our arms, and our family was growing up, of course it is my responsibilities.
A year later, I moved to TDD factories as an assembly chief. After two and a half years, I started to work as a factory manager in Taç Madeni Esya ve Makina Sanayii. The year was 1979 and I was 26 years old. Lack of young and sufficient experience has been a challenge for me here. But maybe it gave me the chance to learn in two years what I would learn elsewhere in 10 years.
Meanwhile, my daughter Ayşe joined our family in the same year and multiplied our joy.
Two years later, I left here and became the head of the workshop we established in 1978. Meanwhile, we increased the number of partners to five and took the name ELOPAR. We started TDD bakelite parts and cable assembly works in the workshop.
Our subcontracting to other companies continued. Six months later, an elder from TDD invited me to the post. I quit my work for TDDF and responded to the invitation. When I finished my assignment and could not get approval for new projects, I changed my company upon an invitation from ENKA.
ENKA was a company that I had a hard time at first. The reason was that the assignment was overseas maintenance and operation manager and I did not know the language. What I am going to say here is that everything can be achieved by working hard and being conscious of your responsibilities. By the way, everywhere I was hired, I declared that I had a workshop. Throughout my life, I have always been careful to be open and honest. I tried to teach how to be like this, both to my children and my employees.
I took over ELOPAR in 1990, by the way, our company was down to two partners. A year later, when my partner declared his desire to leave, I put an end to our twelve-year relationship and made my partner at the same time my colleague.
I had dreamed of engineering since middle school, and I dreamed of having a workshop at the university. The factory dream developed after becoming a family business.
To admit, we did not imagine the point ELOPAR has reached today. We aimed not to make money in the work we do, but to do the job right, to please the customer and to deal with new jobs. We learned from our experience that money somehow came later.
Doing our job correctly has opened up opportunities for us abroad. When our customers wanted us with them, we opened our overseas businesses. Today we have reached a position that operates in eight countries.
But I would like to underline a point here, that our employees have the biggest share in all these successes.
I would like to thank and express my gratitude to my employees who have made all kinds of sacrifices working day, night and vacation.
Likewise, I would like to thank my wife and my children who have always shown their support, not leaving me alone in all difficulties and troubled days.
Finally, I would like to point out that everything starts with a dream, mutual respect and trust are the basis of success and sharing is a must.
I had a happy life with my family and employees. I would like to state that we owe this happiness to mutual respect, understanding, tolerance and patience.
With my respect and love to you all.
