EMEK Electric Industry Inc. It started production on 31 January 1969 in a small workshop in Ankara-Siteler. It delivered its first certified production to EMKOL-İzmir company in July 1969.
In 1971, he signed a technology transfer agreement with Balteau (Belgium), which includes the production of oil current and inductive voltage transformers up to 170 kV and dry type epoxy transformers, in order to bring the economic and up-to-date technology abroad to our country.
In 1972, EMEK, 23 km from Ankara city center. moved to their new facility located away. Today, the factory has a closed area of 10,836 m² and an open area of 22,619 m².
In 1975, EMEK signed another technology transfer agreement with ICAR (Italy) for the production of capacitive voltage transformers and LV power capacitors.
In 1978, EMEK established its own research and test laboratory where all routine and type tests of instrument transformers (except short circuit resistance test for current transformers) can be performed. A cold room with a ceiling height of 5 meters that can go down to -45 ° C has recently been added to this laboratory.
In 1982, EMEK started exporting measurement transformers. The first batch of products exported is 145 kV current and voltage transformers sold to WAPDA / Pakistan.
Emek Elektrik aims to produce high quality and safe production by taking safety and environmental requirements into consideration. The design and production quality of Emek Elektrik has been approved by both domestic and foreign institutes.
In 1994, EMEK was awarded the ISO 9001 certificate by TSE. In addition, Emek has been accredited by Independent International Institutes. Currently, EMEK ABS Quality Evaluations INC. It has ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificates issued by.
EMEK Elektrik has the capacity to produce 21.916 Oiled Measurement Transformers, 10.000 Oiled MV Measurement Transformers, 45.000 Dry MV Measurement Transformers, 5.000 HV Condators and 3.600 HV Separators per year.
Our High Voltage Laboratory in our facilities has been independent and accredited by the International Laboratories Association (ILAC) and IAF (International Accreditation Forum) as of 09.08.2011 under mutual recognition agreements signed by TÜRKAK.
All type and routine tests can be carried out in EMEK laboratories except short circuit tests for current transformers in accordance with international standards (IEC, BS, ANSI, AS etc.).
In addition, the Emek inspection unit was accredited by TÜRKAK on 20.01.2014 according to the TS EN ISO / IEC 17020: 2012 standard.
We also have a temperature and humidity controlled calibration center.
