Established in 1974, the founder of Flexo Technology Inc. (FTI) Mr. Holon Huang (1912-2007) with his son Mr. Hilson Huang (C.E.O.), after his graduation of graphic arts department from National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA), Mr. Hilson started the career by introducing brand new technology and materials of prepress industries for package printing industry in Taiwan, at that time, heat transfer paper printing by using sublimated ink for TC (synthetic fiber) knitwear and cloth is just starting, in addition to this industry printing as for wood grain / skin plication / wall paper / plastic carpet consumables are demanded tremendously, but without plate making, people can't print at all. Importing consumables for gravure cylinder making such as copy screen and magenta contact screen built up a foundation of film making as well as introducing of carbon tissue (pigment paper) / photo resist for direct etching system made a concrete base of pre-press business and as a result switching from gravure to flexography since 1979 to introduce first photopolymer plate for flexography and letterpress printing to Taiwan market (when it was earlier than E.I.du Pont). Due to first company in TW to import photopolymer plates for flexo and letterpress printing, it must to have a plate making machine to process the plate for printers, since then FTI started to manufacture plate making machine not only for Taiwan market but also for exportation to all over the world. In 1986 we attended the first international exhibition in DRUPA Dusseldorf / West Germany, this was the first Chinese exhibitor from Taiwan or China. Since then, FTI has to develop their own product / system in order to combine with their prepress technology, equipment and consumables all together by using their own brand name as LaserBlack + NozzleBlack for negative making and @flexoBag + stamPac for water wash flexo plate making and easy stamp making, which have been granted with invention and patent in total of 60 countries and have practical result of exportation to 65 countries in the world. The simple purposes of developing water washout consumables and technology for flexographic printing are keeping our earth green and forever. These ideas come from the supports of FTI's long term experience in flexography as well as insisting of using creation material and equipment in a level of easy access since it is from design stage and keeping high quality from small parts to big device of the machine before assembly. In addition to the imported plates and between the products which has been created and manufactured by FTI, LaserBlack Enhancer becomes a hot item for economic cost purpose and easy access of getting a positive / negative film by only using a HP laser toner printer which can be also acted as your personal image setter for several kinds of printing. @flexoBag System is a water wash flexo plate making method which is a FTI creation by using liquid photopolymer in a bag to treat the bubbles before process (in stead of occupying the exposure machine too long) in order for mass production purpose. No more toxic chemicals, green and healthy are major advantages of @flexoBag system in addition to save cost of using solvent. (Saving 20-30% cost of a plate instead of using solvent.) In 2010, FTI paid more attention to inkjet for film making on the purpose trying to find a big brother for their LaserBlack Enhancer which is sold successfully 15000 units all over the world. (LaserBlack enhancer is only up to A3 size.) Fortunately they have not only created NozzleBlack inkjet printer for big size film making in high density up to 4.5 optical density for their young brother LaserBlack but also make a first CTP inkjet direct image on any conventional flexo / letterpress photopolymer plates (no film plate making).
