Entering the kitchenware industry with aluminum plastering in the 1960s, Mehtap started to produce Teflon coated products for the first time in 1974. Mehtap, which has focused especially on Teflon® production since 1996, has become one of the leading quality facilities in the world with the building, technological machinery and equipment it owns as of 2005. Mehtap, which focuses on design and R&D studies, is among the companies that DuPont® works with in developing Teflon products. DuPont® Teflon, the first licensed user who moonlight in Turkey, continues in the production of Teflon-coated products, as well as enamel and steel products.
Mehtap continues to progress without slowing down in the electrical appliances sector, which was founded in 2007. Mehtap, which has successfully applied the \"Basic Performance Tests\" required by DuPont® for the quality of Teflon coating, and the tests that are required in line with the European Union directives, on its own products continues to progress confidently among the leading brands in the sector.
Mehtap, which distributes its products through 7 regional directorates located in various centers in the country, makes significant sales abroad to Europe, America, Central Asia and the Middle East and exports to 42 countries in total.
