Polar Chemical Industry and Trade Inc. It was founded in 1980 by Chemical Engineer H. Lütfi Milli. It is an entrepreneurial chemical production center that has strengthened its position in the sector in which it has been operating for more than 30 years by adding value to its values and constantly adding new products to its portfolio with its R&D studies.
Polar Kimya produces many products that appeal to different areas of use and plays an important role in the chemical industry with this wide range of products.
- First of all, the furniture group started to produce paint and varnish under the brand name POLAR, and still continues.
- In 1995, Meriç Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., in order to support its own paint-varnish production within the same campus area. It put the polymer production facility into operation with the title. This second formation, which, as Meriç Kimya, undertakes the production and sales of alkyd binders and isocyanate prepolymer, has proven its success in polymer in a short time and reached a production capacity of 2000 tons / month in its journey that started with a production capacity of 160 tons / month.
Continuing its stability as an honest and reliable structure, Polar Kimya took its first step in the \'Floor Chemicals\' sector in 2005 by not staying away from the search for new markets in line with customer demands.
It started this sector with Parquet Chemicals, parquet glues, primers and varnishes with a monthly production capacity of 250 tons. In the same year, by adding \'Polyurethane Floor Coating Systems\' to its portfolio, it opened a place in the market. Polymer production through the accumulation of power and knowledge Polyurethane Floor technical superiority as the first and only manufacturer in Turkey of the saturated polyester polymer which is the main raw material in the coating and has received positive feedback from the industry with cost advantage.
- In 2010, with the decision of the Board of Directors, the polymer manufacturer Meriç Kimya, paint-varnish manufacturer Polar Kimya and Polar Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş has merged under its roof.
- The company, which continues to develop and grow, has added Epoxy Floor Coating Systems next to Polyurethane Floor Coating Systems when entering 2011. In the same year, it successfully added industrial paints used in different industries to its portfolio and put it on the market.
- By 2014, adding polyurea coatings, which are completely its own R&D work output, to its product portfolio, POLAR KİMYA continues its new product studies in line with customer demands and developments in the chemical industry in the world.
- With the commissioning of a new product manufacturing factory at the beginning of 2013, POLAR KİMYA continues its way today with an annual paint-varnish and coating production capacity of 20,000 tons.
- POLAR CHEMISTRY sector with a total annual production capacity of 44,000 tons of chemical continues its activities with the responsibility of being one of Turkey\'s leading companies.
In these years, which has left its 35 years behind, it has supported the restructuring process with the investments it made in its facilities in addition to the developments in its product portfolio.
• The existing factory area in Gebze was expanded one more floor with the purchase of the adjacent parcel. A modern treatment plant has also been planned on the same parcel and infrastructure construction has started.
• There is a 500 m2 R&D Laboratory, 500 m2 social area and a 1500 m2 administrative department building covering 500 m2 office areas, with 7000 m2 closed and open storage area to meet the production capacity.
The existing quality system, which will be the basis of the concept of sustainable quality, is revised and revised in line with new targets and shared with employees through trainings.
POLAR KİMYA continues to serve its domestic and foreign customers as a company that produces protective and decorative paints, varnishes and coatings for wood-concrete and steel surfaces with its product portfolio that has been continuously developing since its establishment in 1980.
