Polres Elektrik Üretim AŞ was established in 2012 with all domestic capital to invest in the renewable energy sector, with an investment group partnership that is committed to producing and creating added value for its country and operating in the Production-Contracting-Retail sectors. In this sense, it started investing in a biogas facility in Polatlı in 2013.
2.9 megawatts, this is one of Turkey\'s first biogas plant; It was planned on 110 decares of land, its construction was completed in 2014 and commissioned in the same year. In the biogas facility, the waste of the contracted bovine fattening farms is processed. If not recycled, cattle droppings defined as waste are processed at the Polres Biogas Facility; It is transformed into clean energy and natural fertilizer. Thanks to the Polres Biogas Plant, these wastes become completely modern, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Polres Elektrik Üretim A. aims to increase its capacity to 5MW. With these investments, approximately 16,000 tons of CO2 emission per year will be prevented and 40,575,000 kWh / y clean electricity will be produced.
