Safe Energy Supply
RWE & TURCAS Güney Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., in which RWE owns 70% and Turcas Petrol has 30% shares, started the construction of a natural gas combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 775 MW in Denizli in July 2010. The temporary acceptance tests of the power plant by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources were completed at the end of June. Kaklık Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant started commercial operation in August 2013. Combined Cycle Power Plant with this high-tech efficiency rate of over 56%, will significantly contribute to a secure energy supply in Turkey and will meet 2% of total electricity production in Turkey.
