About
The first establishment activities of Tamtad Canned Food Factory started in 1958 by our founder Mesut Yuvgun by registering with the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry with the number 3541 and the Tire Chamber of Commerce with the number 459. Our first production activities started in 1959 with the production of limited number of canned vegetables in a small facility of approximately 300 square meters in the Industrial site in Tire.
In those years when canned food and canning were not well known, our organization, which carried out its activities by producing even canned food itself, continues its activities by using the latest technical knowledge and facilities required by technology in its new and modern facilities with 30,000 square meters open and 10,000 square meters closed area in 1989.
Our current production facilities are located in Tire, which has very rich agricultural lands, 80 km from Izmir port and 45 minutes from Adnan Menderes Airport. Our facility, which was added to our existing facilities in 1996, with the Italian \"Amenduni Nicola\" brand, CE stamped, with a daily olive processing capacity of 100.000 kg, which can produce high efficiency and extremely high quality olive oil due to its technology, has become an important service door for our local producers and is created by packaging the high quality olive oils we produce. TAMTAD VILLA branded products are also appreciated and appreciated by our customers.
In 2000, our company decided to operate in the field of pickles and made investments, and by marketing its products domestically and abroad with the TAMTAD brand and assurance, it was highly appreciated in terms of product quality.
Today, more than 70 products in terms of variety and nearly 250 products in terms of packaging types and sizes are produced in accordance with the TS EN ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System and TS EN ISO 22000: 2005 Food Safety Management System documents we have.
The products produced by our organization are in main groups; Canned vegetables, canned food, delicatessen products, boiled legumes, jams, canned cherries, fruit preserves, sauces, pickles, olive oil.
In order to increase the effectiveness of our brand, we continue to serve our domestic and foreign customers with the excitement of the first day by producing sustainable and competitive foods, and we are trying to acquire new markets and new customers.
An important contribution to be known about the procurement method based on agricultural activity realized with the Agricultural Production Contract, which we frequently use as TAMTAD, is the high level of food reliability. Because our company pays maximum attention to the use of pesticides and not to leave harmful residues for health in order to achieve the highest level of food safety. In this regard, we appreciate the determination and attitude of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock in the practice of selling agricultural pesticides with prescription.
On October 22, 2007 at a meeting held in Izmir because of World Food Day, Turkey, June 9, 1947 is a member of since and affiliated to the United Nations in the center of Rome, \"Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations\" was awarded with the Medal by FAO.
TAMTAD, which is preferred domestically and abroad with its high quality products, exports and markets approximately 50% of its products abroad and continues its effort to become a world brand.
