Tekom Elektrik-Elektronik ve İletişim Sistemleri San.Tic.Ltd.Şti. Ş., was established in 2000 with the aim of planning and installing communication systems and since 2004, it has started to continue its activities in the field of Defense Industry. In 2009, Tekom Elektrik Elektronik Mekanik İnşaat San.Tic.Ltd.Şti. has started to operate in the field of mechanics and construction by changing its title. Since September 2019, Tekom Savunma ve Havacılık San.A.Ş. changed its title and started to continue its activities only in the field of Defense and Aviation. In 2004, it started to support the purchases of the units and military factories affiliated to the Land Forces Command in the field of modernization and localization, and the electronic, electro- contributed to the localization of spare parts of mechanical systems. During the process, it has produced more than 400 products locally and continues to produce in case of need. Since 2009, it has contributed to the development of products and systems for Naval Platforms and, together with MKE Maksam, localized and delivered the Chaff System of 25 Ships in 2010. In addition, it has ensured that some of its products are localized in Submarine platforms. In case of need, these studies continue. In 2016, it entered the aviation field by signing a contract with Tai-Tusaş for the development and production of the Lighting and Signalization products of the Gökbey Helicopter. Later, Atak Helicopter signed contracts for the domestic development and production of similar products and equipment in the Hürkuş aircraft, development and qualification studies are ongoing, and the developed products will be mass-produced in 2021. Our company continues to produce solutions in national projects in the field of Defense and Aviation with a strong R&D team. Our project for the local development and production of Lighting products for Military Land Vehicles, which we started in 2015, has been successful. Our company continues to develop and manufacture most of the products that are completely imported in this field. It has become the only and strong partner of the Military Vehicle manufacturers in our country for these products. As a result of the studies we initiated for export in 2017, our increasing number of customers and products every year gives us strength in this field. As of 2020, we are exporting a large number of products for the Defense Industry, especially Military Vehicle Lighting products, to more than twenty countries. We have signed a great contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Friendly and Brother Country Azerbaijan in this field and we will start developing and producing these products in 2020. In addition, we have signed confidentiality agreements with strong companies, especially in Europe, for product supply and development in their projects. We have an export target of at least 50 million USD regarding these projects in the next 5 years. In addition to the ISO9001 quality management system, which has been continuing since 2006, our company has obtained the AS9100 Quality Management System Certificate as of 2020, and it increases our international competition chance with high quality products. Our existing facility is not sufficient in the face of increasing domestic and international demand, and we aim to build an additional new facility and increase our existing capacity to at least 4 times in a short time.
