MES Makina Elektrik Kimya San. AS was established in Istanbul in 1965 for the production of welding machines and electronic components as well as chemical surface treatment.
In 1974, MES focused on the production of aluminum parts.
In addition to forging and extrusion, new additional processes were developed to form aluminum alloys in the late 1970s; impact extrusion and deep drawing.
In 1988, it focused on the production of aluminum parts for the automotive industry.
The first export activity was made in 1993 (to Germany).
In 1998, it moved to new facilities established on 16,000 m2 in Gebze-Kocaeli.
In 1999, it started mass production of aluminum alloy high pressure gas cylinders.
In 2001, certification of ISO 9002: 1994 quality management system.
Transition to a new management organization aiming at marketing and business development worldwide in 2002.
In 2008, he was awarded the \"Best Performance / Metal Industries\" award by Kocaeli Chamber of Industry.
In \"Export Awards 2009\", MES was honored as the 2nd in \"Creative Product\".
Recertification of the quality management system to ISO 9001: 2008 by TUV in March 2010.

Creation and machining of 2xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx series aluminum alloys

Various hydraulic forging and impact extrusion presses up to 2500 tons

Extrusion facility with 1600 tons of press, induction furnace and automatic transfer system

Heat treatment section with numerically controlled quenching and aging furnaces for solution and aging heat treatment processes

Annealing and induction furnaces for hot forging

Semi-automatic electrostatic powder paint and wet paint facilities

2 laboratories for quality inspections and testing

Numerically controlled hydrostatic pressure and burst tests for high pressure cylinders

Oxygen cleaning unit for interior surface cleaning of high pressure cylinders
